The output controls for each unit are set for 9.99 milliAmperes, 2,000 Hertz and the outputs are connected to a 5,000 Ohm resistor. The output voltage is measured with the sampling rate set to 50,000 kHz, 50 of the 5,000 samples acquired are shown here. The output voltage is obtained by multiplying the measured voltage by the attenuation factor. Then dividing the calculated output voltage by 5,000 Ohms to obtain the output current (appendix #2). The Neurometer® CPT/C output is a sine wave with a peak value of 9.96 milliAmperes. The Medi-Dx 7000 output is an undefined waveform with a peak value of 4.47 milliAmperes.
