Neurometer(R) CPT Neuroselective Sensory Nerve Conduction Threshold Electrodiagnostic Medical Devices

Neurometer® NervScan 2000

Neurometer 2000

The NervScan 2000 features the Ranged CPT (RCPT) procedure to perform fast, comprehensive and painless sensory nerve evaluations on the most distal parts of the body – those areas most susceptible to demyelinating and axonal neuropathy. It replaces older unreliable thermal, vibratory and electrodiagnostic tests with a single procedure that automatically evaluates large myelinated (Abeta), small myelinated (Adelta)and unmyelinated (C) sensory nerve fibers.

Using highly accurate neuroselective electrical stimuli applied directly to the skin, the NervScan 2000 detects and quantifies the hyperesthesia associated with pre-diabetic metabolic syndrome and early diabetes in addition to the hypoesthesia of more advanced conditions. Its measures are reliable and not distorted by skin temperature or thickness, edema or scarring. The patient controlled automated RCPT procedure is fast and easy to perform. No other neurodiagnostic procedure evaluates more than 90% of sensory nerve fibers and measures both hyperesthetic and hypoesthetic dysfunction to provide the earliest most comprehensive evaluation of sensory neuropathy.

NervScan 2000 Features

-dot-Evaluates more than 90% of the sensory nerve including large myelinated, small myelinated and unmyelinated fibers. (more) -dot-Painless non-invasive stimulus encourages patient compliance and allows testing of children and sensitive body sites. (compare)
-dot-Pre-programmed with clinically established normative values for the toe, foot, ankle and finger. (more) -dot-Computerized evaluation of measures based on standardized clinically established norms. (more)
-dot-Quantifies the full range of sensory dysfunction from hyperesthetic through hypoesthetic and anesthetic stages for greater sensitivity and earlier detection. (more) -dot-Fast, automated and accurate, easy to learn patient controlled RCPT procedure. Self-calibrating stimulus and integral cable test assure reliable results.
-dot-Produces accurate measures unaffected by skin temperature or thickness, edema or electromagnetic fields. (compare) -dot-Portable rechargeable device permits safe and convenient testing almost anywhere. No special shielding needed. (compare)
-dot-Standardized double-blinded procedure produces objective, reliable and repeatable results with high inter-rater and intra-rater reliability. (compare) -dot-Hundreds of peer reviewed publications document the sensitivity, reliability, versatility and clinical utility of the sNCT procedure. (more)
