Neurometer® NervScan 2000™
The NervScan 2000 features the Ranged CPT (RCPT) procedure to perform fast, comprehensive and painless sensory nerve evaluations on the most distal parts of the body those areas most susceptible to demyelinating and axonal neuropathy. It replaces older unreliable thermal, vibratory and electrodiagnostic tests with a single procedure that automatically evaluates large myelinated (Abeta), small myelinated (Adelta)and unmyelinated (C) sensory nerve fibers.
Using highly accurate neuroselective electrical stimuli applied directly to the skin, the NervScan 2000 detects and quantifies the hyperesthesia associated with pre-diabetic metabolic syndrome and early diabetes in addition to the hypoesthesia of more advanced conditions. Its measures are reliable and not distorted by skin temperature or thickness, edema or scarring. The patient controlled automated RCPT procedure is fast and easy to perform. No other neurodiagnostic procedure evaluates more than 90% of sensory nerve fibers and measures both hyperesthetic and hypoesthetic dysfunction to provide the earliest most comprehensive evaluation of sensory neuropathy.
