Technical Training and Certification Courses

       Neurotron, Inc. offers technical training and certification courses for clinicians and technicians who perform examinations using Neurometer® CPT electrodiagnostic equipment. This one day class provides extensive hands-on training covering device operation, electrode placements and use of the Neuval® CPT Analysis & Database software. Participants gain expertise in performing examinations and working with patients for greater efficiency without sacrificing reliability. Extensive course documentation and reference materials are included.

       Certificates are awarded upon successful completion of the courses which are held at Neurotron's offices in Baltimore, MD. Authorized on-site training and certification courses are also available through Evergreen Medical Consultants.


Technical Certification Course Syllabus

  • Introduction to neurophysiology and why sensory testing is performed.
  • Testing equipment overview.
  • Device operation training session.
  • Examination procedure fundamentals.
  • Site preparation and application of electrodes.
  • Site selection for electrode based on prescription form.
  • Training session for conducting sNCT/CPT evaluations.
  • Use of the Neuval® CPT analysis software to record and analyze measures.
  • Entering CPT data from non-standard test sites.
  • Written and practical certification examination.
